Beautiful Post-Pregnancy Hair
7 October 2020COLD WEATHER: YOUR COCOONING PROGRAM
7 October 2020A key element in achieving beautiful hair, regardless
of hair type, brushing prevents knots, eliminates impurities,
and instantly boosts shine thanks to its smoothing effects
on the hair fiber. Comb, round brush, flat brush…
Brushing dry hair
Whether to untangle or to remove the residues which give hair a dull look,
this daily routine oxygenates the scalp and helps to preserve beautiful hair,
if you use the right tool!
For smooth hair opt for a flat boar-bristle brush to enhance the glossy effect.
Fine or oily hair will only swear by the flat brush with soft pins to boost volume.
Curly hair will prefer a round brush, small or large, which will not break the curls.
Frizzy hair requires a wide-tooth comb to separate the hair, or a boar-bristle brush
to smooth out small frizz.
Tip: regular brushing offers multiple benefits! It keeps the hair clean and shiny longer,
stimulates the scalp by encouraging microcirculation and distributes the sebum throughout
the length of the hair, naturally protecting it from external aggressions and static electricity.
Which accessory for which use?
Pre-shampoo brushing: shampooing detangled hair is far more effective
and a much more pleasant experience!
The best option for this step is a flat boar-bristle brush, which perfectly detangles
the hair without breaking it.
Tip: always begin by untangling the ends before moving on to the length, ending at the roots.
If your hair is dry, apply Huile de Leonor Greyl to hydrate your length and facilitate detangling.
Detangling wet hair: whether rinsing off a mask or coming out of the shower,
always use a wide-tooth comb or a soft-pin brush when your hair is wet or damp.
Hygienic, practical, and effective, they are suitable for all hair types.
Tip: wet hair is heavier and therefore more fragile when it comes to detangling.
Be gentle and don’t force it, or you’re likely to break it!
Blow-drying: the round boar-bristle brush is the ideal tool for blow-drying because its
shape grips the hair perfectly, but its bristles do not cause damage.
Simply adapt the size of the brush to the desired result – a large brush helps smooth
longer hair or style bangs,
a small brush is perfect for creating volume on short hair and a medium-sized brush
can be used to create Hollywood-style curls…
Tip: Always protect your hair from the drying effects of heat before blow-drying.
Silicone-free and suitable for all hair types, Leonor Greyl’s heat protection products
are Éclat Naturel, Sérum de Soie Sublimateur, Condition Naturelle and Lait Luminescence.
Make sure to regularly clean your accessories to avoid dulling your hair:
remove hair from the brush after each use (using a comb if necessary)
and wash your brush in soapy water once a week.
