CARING FOR CURLY HAIR
14 October 2020FINE HAIR: HOW TO BOOST THE VOLUME?
15 October 2020After returning from summer vacation, how do I know
if my hair needs
to be nurtured or hydrated?
Stephan, an expert at the Leonor Greyl Institut,
answers this question that many of us face on a daily basis.
How to recognize a dehydrated hair?
“The sign of dehydrated hair is its porosity: it swells in wet weather,
creates frizz and has a dull appearance.
All hair types need hydration to smooth their scales daily.
Formulated with water, Tonique Hydratant remains the ultimate hydrophilic product.
Styling treatments such as Sérum de Soie Sublimateur or Condition Naturelle
can also play this role.
For the thirstiest hair, nothing beats Crème aux Fleurs, a washing treatment that should
sit for 10 to 20 minutes.
Nurture thicker hair
Thicker hair that tends to be brittle needs a more specialized care using botanical oils.
Please note: maintaining the correct level of water thus hydration in the hair is essential
to well kept hair, and the most damaged hair will need to be hydrated more than anything
else.
For this, use Tonique Hydratant and give the hair a few moments to absorb the plant
extracts and oligo-elements,
before applying Huile de Leonor Greyl or a hydrating mask, leave on for up to 20 minutes.
As a final touch, the styling cream Éclat Naturel will provide the length
and ends all the protection and hydration they’ll need.
Generally speaking, thick hair requires more care than thin hair,
which risks being weighed down by excessively rich products and prefers
regular hydration in lighter doses. “
Remember to go regularly to your hairdresser, who will be able to advise you
and cut the tips too damaged to be treated … the last resort to say goodbye to brittle ends!
