HOW TO FORTIFY YOUR HAIR WHEN SPRING ARRIVES?
22 October 2020PARTY IDEAS: PARISIAN CHIC
23 October 2020Wind, sun, salt, chlorine, and sand all affect colored hair.
The advice of Franck, expert colorist at the Leonor Greyl Institut
to come back with a sublime color and an impeccable texture.
Protect without failing
Coloring makes hair porous, a phenomenon that the natural elements accentuate.
Therefore, it is important to protect the hair in the summer both its quality
and its color (even natural) that are at risk of deteriorating.
“I recommend protecting the hair daily by applying a small amount of Huile de Leonor Greyl
to the length and ends.
Naturally water-resistant, it contains botanical oils that protect it from the effects of the sun,
as well as sea water and chlorine. Apply the oil and then use a boar-bristle brush to spread
the oil thoroughly.
Don’t apply it directly to the roots as to avoid making it greasy. Use a brush to distribute
the oil evenly.
This protection not only protects the color but also deeply hydrates the hair.
The result: it looks even more beautiful at the end of the holidays
(rather than the other way round…)” explains Franck.
Once you’ve applied the Huile de Leonor Greyl, tie your hair up, taking care to tuck
the highly fragile ends into the hairstyle. Wear a hat? It’s an excellent idea to protect
the roots.
Gentle cleaning
Wash your hair EVERY night: the mixture of oil, salt, chlorine and/or sand can
irritate the scalp and lead to irritations.
Use a gentle shampoo, for example Lait Lavant à la Banane, a hair make-up
remover that removes all residues and excess sebum caused by perspiration.
Alternate with a shampoo suitable for colored hair, such as Bain Vitalisant B
or Shampooing Crème Moelle de Bambou for thick and very dehydrated hair,
or Shampooing Sublime Mèches, specially formulated for highlighted hair.
Hydrate and moisturize
Follow the shampoo with the Crème à l’Amarante, which instantly detangles
the lengths, or the Crème Régénératrice, which should be left on for five to
ten minutes.
Once a week, apply an ultra-moisturizing mask to tighten the scales.
Two rituals to adopt according to your desire or the time you have available.
To carry out this deep treatment, the Masque Fleurs de Jasmin for fine hair,
the Masque à l’Orchidée for thick hair or the Masque Quintessence
if they are very damaged.
After the holidays
Extend this routine when you return from vacation by systematically using
the Huile de Leonor Greyl (+ brush) before shampooing to prepare the hair.
Once a week, perform a deep conditioning treatment, taking the time to let it settle.
Follow with a mask.
