How to protect hair from the sun by Caroline Greyl
12 October 2020Why avoid silicone?
12 October 2020It’s recommended to use dry shampoo as less
as possible and only when you’re in a hurry.
Sylvie, our treatment expert at the Leonor Greyl Institute
explains why.
Use with moderation
It should only be used to help before an important evening or meeting, but
not systematically.
Yes, to a little help before an improvised dinner, but don’t make it a daily reflex.
Otherwise, it may irritate the scalp: absorbent powders do not eliminate sebum,
they neutralize it.
Therefore, the scalp is not cleansed from sebum and breathes badly.
Dry shampoo is not a styling product.
Avoid spraying it too close to the roots
Make sure to spray at the right distance: too close, the powder will be impossible
to distribute, the roots will be lighter than the length and this will drastically tarnish
the hair by suffocating the bulb.
So be sure to spray 30 cm (12 in) towards from the roots, massage,
and brush upside down, then right and left. Then brush one last time head up.
Remember to rinse it off
The next day, think about shampooing after having brushed your hair again and again.
Avoid keeping it for several days. It is recommended to use a Massaging Brush to properly
emulsify your shampoo and remove all residues.
Watch your scalp
When hair gets oily too fast, the best solution is to tackle the problem at the root.
Adopt a suitable haircare routine by regularly applying either the soothing oil
Huile Apaisante or the stimulating oil Régénérescence Naturelle before shampooing.
